Summary of Duties:
JWFI is a growing metal manufacturing company, expanding into defense & other markets with long-term work. We’re looking to interview CNC Machinists at all levels of experience to join the team at our Woodvale machining and welding facility and our new facility in Davisville, WV.

Our highly skilled machinists perform set up and operations, working side by side with the Quality Department to ensure exacting tolerances are held, quality parts are shipped, and on-time delivery dates are met.

Essential Duties:
Our Machinists must be safety-minded to contribute to the amazing safety record of the facility. Top quality work and attention to detail is essential to meet customer requirements, as well as the ability to work with time-critical projects and frequently changing production needs.

Machinists will need knowledge/experience reading drawings and blueprints to determine critical part information and experience with part inspection and related hand tools/precision measuring devices.

Experienced Welders

Summary of Duties:
PLEASE NOTE: TO BE CONSIDERED FOR WELDING POSITIONS, candidates must have current MIG and/or TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.

Fits and welds fabricated and metal components to manufacture weldments and sub-assemblies or related components using FCAW, GMAW or Aluminum processes. Work requires the ability to weld most sub-assemblies in production and fit and/or weld on most jigs for all production requirements.

Essential Duties:
These weld positions will lay out, fit, and weld steel and aluminum fabricated components to manufacture weldments and sub-assemblies utilizing established welding processes:
-Welds on medium and/or large fabrications in a jig fixture
-Welds on large fabrication projects in multiple positions that may include but is not limited to overhead, flat, and/or horizontal
-Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding according to blueprints
-Properly sets up and adjusts welding machine and various equipment as needed
-Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding
-Repairs parts by grinding, dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and/or reassembling

Education Level: Vocational school welding graduate or Associate’s degree in Welding highly preferred

Experience:
Candidate will be all-position certified, steel and/or aluminum qualified.
Must be able to interpret complex blueprints & weld symbols, and fit/weld according to print (including the ability to build weldments from prints).

Machining Estimator

Summary of Duties:
JWF Industries, a certified small business and privately-owned manufacturer, is seeking a Machining Estimator to join their world class team. This role is based out of their 70,000 square feet Woodvale facility, part of 1,000,000 square feet of total metal manufacturing space across 4 locations in the local Johnstown, PA area.

Essential Duties:
This is a critical role responsible for:
• Analyzing technical drawings & specifications for machining and other miscellaneous manufacturing processes
• Preparing material and labor estimates and preparing bids for planning, scheduling and production of metal products.

Education Level: Work requires two years of machining experience and/or a two year related engineering degree

Experience:
The preferred candidate must have:
• Experience putting together bid proposals
• Experience with bill of materials (BOM)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Quality Inspector

Summary of Duties:
Verifies dimensional size of materials such as plates, structural shapes, castings, weldments and assemblies. Successful candidate will train on and learn our CMM, Faro Arm, and Laser Tracker equipment.

Essential Duties:
Primary accountability is in support of projects to assure quality parts to the customer.
Will facilitate problem-solving and issue resolution through formal documentation; experience managing projects, performing data analysis, improving work processes is necessary.

Education Level: Minimum of an Associates' degree preferred (in a related field)

Experience:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to use tape measures, micrometers, and calipers is required.
Strong GD&T training/experience preferred.
A familiarity with sophisticated inspection equipment (CMM and FARO) is highly desired.

Supplier Quality

Summary of Duties: Partnering with both Quality and Supply Chain, this critical role will be responsible for visiting suppliers to develop, implement, update and review appropriate metrics to reduce rejections and improve product quality and on time delivery. This is a wide-swath position requiring independent thought & judgement at the process level. A high rate of travel (50-75%) and some non-traditional work schedules will be required.

Essential Duties:
Included but not limited to:
-Develop, and lead, supplier quality improvement programs
-Perform process audits and inspections at supplier locations
-Flow down quality requirements to suppliers and ensure suppliers are qualified and performing required functions
-Review inspection data such as material certifications and first article inspections; will also disposition non-conforming product
-Provide regular status reports to supply chain management regarding supplier quality and delivery

Education Level: BS in Engineering or related field with 2 years (min) experience, or equivalent/relevant experience

Experience:
This position requires the ability to read and comprehend drawings, specifications, Material Test Reports, purchase orders, and contract requirements to ensure requirements and expectations are communicated and understood by the supplier. Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, etc. is required. GD&T experience is preferred, Welding experience is a plus.
Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and co-workers.
