Essential Duties:
Primary accountability is in support of projects to assure quality parts to the customer.
Will facilitate problem-solving and issue resolution through formal documentation; experience managing projects, performing data analysis, improving work processes is necessary.

Education Level: Active CWI credentials required.

Experience:
• Experience in a metal manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and comprehend complex diagrams, blue-prints, weld symbols, and written/verbal instructions
• General knowledge of quality inspection tools (micrometers/calipers)

JWFI is a growing metal manufacturing company, expanding into defense & other markets with long-term work. We’re looking to interview CNC Machinists at all levels of experience to join the team at our Woodvale machining and welding facility and our new facility in Davisville, WV.

Our highly skilled machinists perform set up and operations, working side by side with the Quality Department to ensure exacting tolerances are held, quality parts are shipped, and on-time delivery dates are met.

Essential Duties:
Our Machinists must be safety-minded to contribute to the amazing safety record of the facility. Top quality work and attention to detail is essential to meet customer requirements, as well as the ability to work with time-critical projects and frequently changing production needs.

Machinists will need knowledge/experience reading drawings and blueprints to determine critical part information and experience with part inspection and related hand tools/precision measuring devices.

Intern - Winter 2021 - Robotic/Automated Welding

Summary of Duties:

This intern will assist the Production Team with robotic/automated programming. In addition, the intern will learn how robotic programming interfaces with welding applications, procedures and equipment to support the weld processes.

Essential Duties:
Applicants should possess a strong background in Robotic/Automated programming. Their responsibilities will include:
•Ensure that the work environment is safe, and within established standards
•Build/ modify fixtures for new design and products
•Assist with programming the machines for new jobs
•Trouble shoot and assist with resolving machine and programming issues
•Utilize inspection equipment to check quality of parts.

Education Level: Applicants must be at least a junior in college.

Experience:
A strong knowledge of MIG (GMAW) process and equipment, including welding experience is required, along with knowledge of industrial robots.
At least two years of college coursework completed towards a Robotics related degree is highly recommended, along with experience in welding and automation.

This is a highly specific position, only candidates with Navy Nuclear experience will be considered. This role will have significant interaction with customers to help drive future sales. Position will be based in Johnstown, PA.

The Project Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate all project activities & resources to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

• Review project proposal to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources through various phases of project(s)
• Create and review status reports, modifying schedules and plans as required
• Prepare project reports for management, client, and other stakeholders
• Work with project personnel, customers, and QC to provide technical advice and resolve problems

Education Level: Bachelors degree preferred

Summary of Duties: Partnering with both Quality and Supply Chain, this critical role will be responsible for visiting suppliers to develop, implement, update and review appropriate metrics to reduce rejections and improve product quality and on time delivery. This is a wide-swath position requiring independent thought & judgement at the process level. A high rate of travel (50-75%) and some non-traditional work schedules will be required.

Essential Duties:
Included but not limited to:
-Develop, and lead, supplier quality improvement programs
-Perform process audits and inspections at supplier locations
-Flow down quality requirements to suppliers and ensure suppliers are qualified and performing required functions
-Review inspection data such as material certifications and first article inspections; will also disposition non-conforming product
-Provide regular status reports to supply chain management regarding supplier quality and delivery

Education Level: BS in Engineering or related field with 2 years (min) experience, or equivalent/relevant experience

Experience:
This position requires the ability to read and comprehend drawings, specifications, Material Test Reports, purchase orders, and contract requirements to ensure requirements and expectations are communicated and understood by the supplier. Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, etc. is required. GD&T experience is preferred, Welding experience is a plus.
Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and co-workers.
