Summary of Duties:
JWF Industries, a certified small business and privately owned manufacturer, is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to join their team. JWFI is a diversified, metal-centric manufacturer and produces a wide variety of parts and components used by companies in the commercial market as well as defense industry giants such as BAE, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin and others. This is a critical role directing, planning and implementing activities related to all aspects of supply chain throughout 1,000,000 square feet of metal manufacturing space across four state-of-the-art facilities in the Johnstown, PA area and one in WV.
The successful candidate will leverage their manufacturing industry knowledge and management skills to develop and implement supply chain management practices, system measurements, controls and procedures to achieve maximum operational effectiveness. This is a highly visible position with the opportunity to advance.

Essential Duties:
Essential duties include but are not limited to:
• Develop and initiate strong supplier relationships and world class inventory and supplier management techniques
• Coordinate supply chain management operational tactics between the various business functions to ensure the highest level of internal customer satisfaction
• Participate with other management in the definition and implementation of strategic plans supporting the global development of the enterprise
• Develop and present to senior corporate and divisional management detailed analyses and recommendations for operational improvement and synergies including the potential for outsourcing, manufacturing consolidation, inventory management, information systems, parts rationalization, purchasing efficiencies, etc.
• Train, develop, and motivate all required to implement the supply chain management strategy and plan


Education Level: Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain or related area

Experience:
Work requires experience purchasing all types of metals and experience with subcontracting at a national and international level.

Qualified candidates MUST have supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.

While performing the duties of the job, the individual is required to have the ability to concentrate and perform responsibilities by maintaining a constant state of focus and mental alertness. The individual is regularly required to stand, use hands (including gripping & grasping) and reach with arms. The individual is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The individual will frequently walk. The individual must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 20 lbs. Specific vision requirements such as color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

The individual may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts with occasional exposure to wet and/ or humid conditions and extreme cold or heat. The individual is at risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.




Experienced CNC Machinists (2021)

Summary of Duties:
JWFI is a growing metal manufacturing company, expanding into defense & other markets with long-term work. We’re looking to interview experienced CNC Machinists to join the team at our Woodvale machining and welding facility.

Our highly skilled machinists perform set up and operations, working side by side with the Quality Department to ensure exacting tolerances are held, quality parts are shipped, and on-time delivery dates are met.

Essential Duties:
Our Machinists must be safety-minded to contribute to the amazing safety record of the facility. Top quality work and attention to detail is essential to meet customer requirements, as well as the ability to work with time-critical projects and frequently changing production needs.

Machinists will need knowledge/experience reading drawings and blueprints to determine critical part information and experience with part inspection and related hand tools/precision measuring devices.


Experience:
Candidates must have relevant CNC Machining experience to be considered.

Industrial Maintenance Technician
Full Time
$18-21+ to start, based on experience
weekends, 6am-6pm
Summary of Duties:
This position is on the weekend shift, Friday-Saturday-Sunday, 6am-6pm
Will install, repair, troubleshoot & maintain metalworking machinery, and repair electrical equipment (wiring according to code).

Essential Duties:
-Troubleshoots mechanical devices and machinery in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble; dismantles to gain access to, repair or remove defective parts.
-Installs and maintains equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
-Starts devices and machinery to test their performance.
-Repairs electrical equipment and wiring according to code and machine requirements. Troubleshoots electrical control panels from electrical schematics.

Education Level: Completion of vocational or trade school in electrical field preferred

Experience:
-Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
-Must have adequate working knowledge of PLC and electronics; experience in industrial electrical installation of 600 volts or less. Experience with industrial hydraulic systems preferred. 3-phase industrial electricity experience highly preferred
-Must have the ability to perform all duties in safe manner, in concern for self, co-workers and the equipment.
-Work requires the ability to read and comprehend simple to complex instructions, blue prints, and short memos, as well as the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to comprehend and understand control circuit electrical diagrams.
